Paving Repairs

Sunken, loose, uneven or cracked pavers, lifted, re-bedded and re-levelled so your paving is safe and stable again.

Residential paving being re-levelled

Paving moves. Over time the bedding settles, water washes material away, roots lift edges and pavers shift. The result is sunken, loose or uneven paving that's not just unsightly, it's a trip hazard. M&O Pebbles repairs residential paving throughout St George and the Sutherland Shire by lifting the affected pavers, fixing the base and re-laying them level.

Are Your Pavers Sinking, Moving or Becoming Uneven?

These are the paving problems we fix most often around homes.

Sunken Pavers

Sections that have dropped below the rest.

Uneven Pavers

Pavers sitting at different heights, creating trip hazards.

Loose Pavers

Pavers that rock or lift underfoot.

Cracked Pavers

Individual pavers split or broken.

Moved Pavers

Pavers that have shifted out of line or spread.

Trip Hazards

Raised edges and lips that are unsafe to walk over.

Sunken Paver Repairs

Sunken pavers are usually caused by the bedding layer or base settling over time, or water washing the sand out from beneath.

We lift the sunken section, re-level and compact the bedding, then re-lay the pavers flush with the surrounding surface.

Loose Paver Repairs

Loose pavers rock underfoot and can lift out of place. This happens when joints open up and the bedding breaks down.

We re-bed the loose pavers and re-joint them so they sit firm and stable.

Uneven Paving & Re-levelling

Uneven paving is one of the most common repairs we do. Pavers sitting at different heights create lips and trip hazards.

Re-levelling means lifting the affected area, correcting the bedding and re-setting the pavers to a consistent, safe level.

Cracked & Broken Pavers

A cracked paver doesn't mean the whole area needs replacing. Individual broken pavers can be swapped out and the area re-jointed to match.

Where cracking is widespread we'll explain whether re-levelling the base will stop it happening again.

Paths, Courtyards, Patios & Driveways

We repair paving on all the residential surfaces around your home:

  • Garden and entry paths
  • Courtyards and patios
  • Driveways and carports

Frequently Asked Questions

Can sunken pavers be repaired?

Yes. We lift the sunken pavers, re-level the bedding and re-set them so the surface is flush again.

Why do pavers sink?

Pavers usually sink because the bedding layer or base has settled, compacted or been washed out by water over time.

Can loose pavers be fixed?

Yes. We re-bed and re-joint loose pavers so they're stable and sit flush with the surrounding paving.

Can uneven paving be re-levelled?

Yes. Re-levelling is one of our most common repairs, we lift, re-bed and re-set the affected pavers to remove trip hazards.

Can you repair only one section?

Often yes. We can lift and re-level just the affected area without disturbing the rest of the paving.

Do cracked pavers need the whole area replaced?

Not usually. Cracked pavers can generally be replaced individually and the area re-jointed to match.
