Uneven Paving Repairs
Pavers sitting at different heights, lifted and re-set level to remove trip hazards.

Uneven paving is more than a cosmetic issue, with raised edges and lips between pavers creating a genuine trip hazard, especially on paths and around homes with kids or older residents. We re-level uneven paving by lifting the affected area, correcting the bedding and re-setting the pavers to a consistent, safe level. We work across St George and the Sutherland Shire.

What Causes Uneven Paving
Uneven paving usually comes from differential settling, where some sections of the base compact more than others, or from tree roots lifting part of the area.
Re-levelling the surface is the fix; addressing the cause keeps it level.

We lift the uneven pavers, re-screed and compact the bedding, and re-lay the pavers to a single level.
In most cases only the uneven section needs lifting, and the rest of the paving is undisturbed.
Trip Hazards & Safety
A lip of even a centimetre between pavers can catch a foot. Re-levelling removes those hazards and makes the area safe to use again.
It also improves drainage by removing dips that hold water.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can uneven paving be re-levelled?
Yes. Re-levelling is one of our most common repairs, we lift, re-bed and re-set the affected pavers to remove trip hazards.
Can you repair only one section?
Often yes. We can lift and re-level just the affected area without disturbing the rest of the paving.
Do cracked pavers need the whole area replaced?
Not usually. Cracked pavers can generally be replaced individually and the area re-jointed to match.
